Snohomish County

Snohomish County is lead by a County Executive who is elected for a four-year term. Five County Council members are elected to four-year terms, as well. Elections are held every other year, with two council seats and the executive position alternating with three council seats on the ballot.

Snohomish County's goal is to promote a healthy, diversified business climate while preserving the quality of life so highly valued by the county?s residents.

A new county government campus currently is under construction. The flexible layout of this state-of-the-art facility anticipates future government requirements while providing suitable accommodations for today's county government services. In addition to new office and administrative space, when completed the campus will include an additional 700 parking spaces, a public plaza and a new jail.
