Message from the Mayor of Everett

Our community is known for its beautiful waterfront setting and magnificent mountain views. We are also known for working together and embracing a true sense of pride and leadership.

Our downtown, beautifully decorated year-round with flower baskets, is filled shops, restaurants, other businesses and government services. Our sculpture exhibit along our downtown sidewalks features three permanent and eight temporary art installations a must see!

Everett is also proud to be the home of the world's leading aerospace manufacturer, the Boeing Company. Boeing's production of 747, 767 and 777 aircraft makes Everett a major source of America's exports. We are also home to Boeing's next generation of aircraft, the 7E7 Dreamliner.

Naval Station Everett, the world's most modern naval station, is a prominent part of our waterfront. Our community celebrates the Naval Station's 10th Anniversary this year. The City and Chamber of Commerce have developed partnerships with Naval Station Everett that truly benefit our community. In fact, Everett is known as the "Sailor's Choice."

Our community also offers much in the way of recreation. Everett has more than 40 city-owned parks. They include trails, waterfront recreational areas, two public golf courses and a skateboard park. The Port of Everett's marina is the second largest on the West Coast. The Everett School District's Memorial Stadium includes a football stadium which seats 10,000 spectators and a baseball park, which seats 4,500. And, the new Everett Events Center in the heart of downtown provides an opportunity for ice hockey, ice skating, concerts, shows and conventions.

Not far from the Everett Events Center, you?ll find Everett Station, our unique center for transportation, higher education and employment. During your visit to Everett Station, be sure to check out our public art display.

Everett is a wonderful place. I know you will enjoy your time in our All-America City. Welcome!

Ray Stephanson,
Mayor of Everett
