One of our primary missions is to advocate on behalf of our members. Through the work of our Government Affairs, Education and Workforce Development and Navy Affairs Divisions we do just that, engaging on local, state and federal issues that are important to our members and the community as a whole.
Throughout the year the Chamber issues dozens of public statements, resolutions, letters and public testimony ensuring the collective voice of our members are heard loud and clear. Not to mention the countless community meetings the Chamber board and staff attend on behalf of our members.
Our new advocacy website, www.voiceofeverettbiz.com, makes staying current on political issues easy and communicating with elected officials even easier. With a few clicks of the mouse, you can send all of your elected officials a customized message on issues important to your business.
Many issues cannot be solved alone requiring partnerships with businesses and organization throughout the nation. The work of our Joint Government Affairs Committee is a perfect example of partnership. Leveraging the collective influence of five chambers and EDCs and their members, we are over 2000 members and 100,000 strong!
