Office
Adequate information and expert guidance are
critical to business success. Free business
training and counseling and access to small
business loans now are available to Chamber
members right in the Chamber office through
a new partnership with the Northwest Women's
Business Center, the U.S. Small Business Administration,
Community Capital Development and the Washington
State PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance
Center).
Tiffany
McVeety, director of the Northwest Women's Business
Center, and John Tamble, PTAC program manager,
are available for private counseling sessions
every week in the Chamber’s downtown Everett
office.
These
one-on-one counseling services are designed
to help business owners interested in starting
or growing a business. Areas of expertise include
general management, marketing, financial planning,
contract procurement, feasibility analyses of
a new business idea, assistance in writing a
business plan, preparing a loan application,
and human resources and staffing decisions.
The PTAC program provides education, assistance
and support to companies interested in doing
business with the federal government.
“Adequate information and expert guidance
are among the most critical components for business
success,” said Everett Area Chamber President
Louise Stanton-Masten. “The Chamber’s
ability to provide these critical services furthers
one of our most important business goals: to
help our community’s business owner succeed.”
