Chamber Sponsors Forum Luncheon Featuring Candidates for Governor

Few public officials influence our region’s ability to compete in a global economy as directly as a state’s governor. The Washington State governor represents our region to trading partners around the world and is instrumental in helping – or hindering – Chamber efforts to create a business-friendly economic environment.

The Everett Area Chamber, the Economic Development Council and other business support organizations and chambers from throughout Snohomish County will host a candidates’ forum Sept. 22 featuring the two major parties’ candidates for governor.

Allen Funk, publisher of the Herald Newspapers, will moderate as candidates discuss their positions on critical business and competitiveness issues, including tax policy, transportation, state regulations, economic development and education reform.

This is your opportunity to question candidates about issues that directly affect our business community. The forum is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at Embassy Suites Hotel – Lynnwood. To register, contact the Chamber office, 425-257-3222, or visit www.everettchamber.com.
