2004
Everett Area Chamber Annual Meeting
Verizon Group President Steve Banta to be Keynote
Speaker
On Oct. 20, as part of its signature Everett
Area Business Expo , the Everett Area Chamber
hosts its 2004 Annual Meeting, a report to members
reviewing 2004 accomplishments and discussing
Chamber initiatives for 2005. The luncheon introduces
the Chamber’s new board members and offers
an opportunity to thank outgoing board members
for their contributions.
“Our annual meeting is an important part
of the Chamber’s commitment to accountability
to our members,” said Chamber President
Louise Stanton-Masten. “Not only do we
discuss the Chamber’s past year, we calibrate
our collective efforts for the work that still
lies ahead.”
As a catalyst to a discussion of how best shape
Everett’s future, the Chamber this year
presents luncheon keynote speaker Verizon Group
President Steve Banta speaking on “The
Telecommunications Revolution.”
Banta is group president for Verizon’s
Northwest and Southwest Regions, which encompasses
18 states. He is responsible for representing
Verizon’s corporate interests externally
regarding regulatory and governmental matters,
as well as Verizon’s involvement in communities
through economic development and Verizon Foundation
grants.
The annual business meeting and report to Chamber
membership is scheduled for noon to 1:30 p.m.,
Oct. 20, at the Everett Events Center Conference
Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett. Registration
begins at 11:30 a.m. $35 for Chamber members
