In Role As Business Advocate/Educator, Chamber Hosts Gubernatorial Candidates

Business advocacy. That’s the mission of the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Everett Area Chamber does not campaign on behalf of any one political candidate, but it takes every opportunity to acquaint influencers with the Everett business community and with the issues that matter to Everett.

As part of that commitment to education and advocacy, Everett Area Chamber of Commerce business leaders hosted both candidates for Washington State Governor. In each instance, Chamber and business leaders discussed critical business issues and provided a focused economic development tour of Everett.

“It is essential that we take every opportunity to help state leaders become better acquainted with the issues that affect our business community,” said Everett Area Chamber Government Affairs Committee Chair Steve Neighbors. “The economic vitality and future economic prosperity of our region depends on our ability to work together to create a more competitive and business-friendly environment in which companies large and small can thrive.”
