Health Care Back to Residential Relocation

The Snohomish County medical community provides a comprehensive mix of choices, from primary care and specialty physicians to easily accessible facilities. The area’s hospitals consistently rank among the best, and clinics and other facilities are plentiful and top-notch.

Providence/Health Systems-Everett is a highly rated facility providing medical care and wellness programs for Snohomish County residents. The 475-bed community hospital is located on two campuses in Everett. Among the services provided at Providence are the Stephen Saunders Heart Center for cardiac care, the Helen Jackson Center for Women’s Health, the Regional Cancer Center, a prenatal-care center, and specialized services for head and spinal-cord injuries and stroke patients. Everett is also home to the Group Health Cooperative’s large primary-care center and a wide range of specialized-services facilities, including the Puget Sound Kidney Center and Cascade Regional Eye Clinic.

The Everett Clinic provides family-centered health care at various locations throughout Snohomish County. The clinic offers primary care—pediatrics, internal medicine, and family practice—and more than 25 diverse specialty care services as well as optical, hearing and mental health services. The Gunderson Building offers a state-of-the-art Surgery Center, Walk-In-Clinic and Occupational Health Center. A number of family and 24-hour emergency clinics are also located in the Everett area, including HealthSouth, Everett Family Practice Center and Silver Lake Family Medical Center.

Stevens Healthcare, located in south Snohomish County, provides healthcare to this rapidly growing area. Stevens Hospital, a 217-bed facility, provides emergency and critical care, surgery, cardiology and mental health services as well as state-of-the-art radiology services, single-room maternity care in the hospital’s birth center, and comprehensive cancer treatment through the Puget Sound Tumor Institute. Access to primary care experts is ensured through Stevens PrimeCare practices in the area.

For residents who require highly specialized care or access to cutting-edge research, some of the world’s most renowned health-care facilities are located just a few miles away in Seattle. They include the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Harborview Medical Center, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Swedish Medical Center, Virginia Mason Medical Center, University of Washington Hospital and School of Medicine, and Children’s Hospital.
